Re: Point ZSE at Zend Server CE

Solved - finally! Yes Zend Studio 6.1.2 I did as suggested and ran a script using Zend Server CE and it worked fine. The issue appears to be Zend Optimizer+. Once I turned off that extension I was able to run the unit tests. I still ran into issues connecting to MySQL but I resolved that by commenti...

Re: ZSE 6.1.2 - Zend Framework Project Error

That yields the same result. If you don't use the Zend Framework Project wizard you don't get the Zend Framework Nature which sets everything up correctly. However, the wizard creates a default directory and file structure so it over writes existing code pulled from SVN. Zend needs to add a Zend Fra...

Re: ZendStudio for Eclipse dog slow on MacOS

I have no noticeable performance issues with ZSE running on my Mac. Eclipse is definitely much slower compared to IDE's like Visual Studio. However, I've been using ZSE for a couple months now and it has performed nicely. We currently have 4 developers, all on Macbooks, all developing applications u...

Re: ZSE 6.1.2 - Zend Framework Project Error

This seems to be a bug in ZSE. I've tried a few different approaches and none really work all that well. So, I basically do what you did, click OK when I get the error and then immediately revert any changes the project wizard made to the code. Not ideal but it works.

Re: Run Unit Tests from both ZS4E and the command line

I have this working now. I had to have my AllTest classes extend PHPUnit_Framework_TestSuite and when I set the suite name I had to use the name of the class and not a test description. class AllTests extends PHPUnit_Framework_TestSuite { ... } This works $this->setName ('AllTests'); This fails in Z...

Run Unit Tests from both ZS4E and the command line

How can I write my unit tests so I can execute them from within Zend Studio for Eclipse and from the command line? This works from within Zend Studio and the command line but gives warnings because AllTests does not contain any tests. $suite = new PHPUnit_Framework_TestSuite('AllTests'); //AllTests ...

Use PhpUnit configuration option in ZS4E

The PhpUnit test integration in Zend Studio for Eclipse (Mac 6.1.1) is very nice but I cannot see how to use the --configuration option so I can have PhpUnit use an xml file. The only two options are for Single Test and All tests in the project/folder. The unit test feedback is great and I don't wan...

Point ZSE at Zend Server CE

We have been evaluating Zend Studio for Eclipse for the past month and the only PHP binary we can use is the one installed in MAMP. The PHP binaries distributed with Zend Studio failed as soon as we ran unit tests that need to access MySQL saying the mysql driver was not installed. So, we added MAMP...
