Re: Upgrade to ZS 9.1 : Access denied for user 'root'@'local

After some investigations i realised that the mysql installation has no Data folder. So i opened a console (win10), navigated to the mysql directory and ran mysqld --initialize, which then created the folder, but subsequent calls to mysqld show users or mysqld create user... have no effect - users t...

Upgrade to ZS 9.1 : Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost

I recently upgraded from ZS 8.5 to 9.1. The 8.5 installation could not be updated, but had to be uninstalled. Following the installation of ZS9.1, i am getting the following message when trying to connect to the database: Connect Error: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost...

Downloaded this and it seems to be working fine. Great to see the simple FF debugger back!

Re: windows 10 - apache service won't start

Interesting, i commented out the httpd.conf to include virtual hosts, and apache won't start again. Recommenting it, so virtual hosts are not included, and apache works fine. The event log shows this message from apache: The Apache service named reported the following error: >>> NameVirtualHost take...

Re: windows 10 - apache service won't start

Thank you, that worked. I ran the installation of ZS again, and when it said that port 80 was occupied, i opened services.msc and disabled the World Wide Web Publishing Service (and also set it's startup type to manual), then i was able to install it again without problems.

windows 10 - apache service won't start

Since updating to windows 10, my apache service (apache 2.2-Zend) won't start, with the message "the requested operation failed". Checking services.msc, it is set to automatic startup, but doesn't start when the computer does either. I have tried installing the latest zend server (8.5) but it made n...

php - windows 7 permissions when creating files

I have ZS 7 installed and am working on a script on my local windows 7 machine that uploads images. I am finding that even though the script is executing correctly, the image is being uploaded to the destination folder without the appropriate permissions for my windows 7 user (me) to view them. Navi...

Re: Virtual Host Port and Virtual Host Config files

i gave up trying to configure virtual hosts via ZS, instead just include the vhosts.conf in http.conf and write them manually, much quicker and simpler.

Zend Studio 11 crash - java heap space

I have copied my projects from my 32 bit windows 7 computer to a new 64 bit windows 7 computer. When i run zend studio 11 on the 64 bit computer, it is incredibly slow and sluggish, and after about 10 minutes i get a "java heap space" error with a document saved on my desktop with many lines of erro...
