Re: PHP Log Cleanup.

I read somewhere about this and so this is what I do. I created CL that will rename the log file (which will force a new file) every month. I have it set up in wrkjobscde to run monthly. Of course I am on zendphp7, so you will need to change the path to be zendsvr6 and of course when you move to zen...

issues with zendserver 2018 as an upgrade SSL fails

Over the weekend I put on the latest ptfs on v7r3. No issues on monday and tuesday. Tuesday night I put on the zend server 2018.0.0 upgrade (ptf 7zs0005). I was running zend server 9.1.4 php 7.1.x. I had to first perm apply 7zs0004 ptf as it would not let me put 7zs0005 on without such. No ipl was n...

zend server 6

I like the fact you can put on zs6 on and test with a different port, etc. But my question is, how do you "uninstall" zendserver 5, is it just to do the go programs and do an uninstall? (and will that not uninstall the MySQL aspect.

Re: db2 persistent connection

Are you doing pcloses?? I have all my applications now running as persistant, and I have maybe 40 users on such and I am not seeing what you describe. I did a test of 500 cycles of a regular connect and close and persistent same, and the regular took like 3.5 seconds and the persistent took .05 seco...

Re: Get rid of annoying message from Easycom

It depends what all you are doing whether you need easycomm or not. If you are doing advanced stuff then you need to take a look at purchasing it or useing xmlservice. If you are simply doing queries with like i5_connect and such, then you might want to do what I did, and simply go and modify the co...

pconnect and drda issues

having an issue with pconnect and drda (that is a remote db). I set it up in wrkrdbdire and of course then was able to connect to it with strsql and it is fine. But in php, I can pconnect just fine (no error message) but whenever I try a a sql command on code that I know works (as it ran on the main...

screwy problem sql is not working?

Here is the scenerio, two i's both running V7R1, both have on basically same zend software (I think only latest hotfix is not on). Machine 1 runs php application internally, Machine 2 runs it externally for our call center. The problem we are having is that machine2 at times, the selects, etc. do no...

Re: Call a CL program from inside php program

There is a real easy way. Go and set up a dummy table and put a trigger on it, that is the cl command you want to have run. Insert a dummy record and it will fire the trigger and that will call the cl command, etc.

It is fast and works.

zend server on port 80 and SSL on 443?

Anyone have a good spot of documentation of running zend server on a port 80 (i.e. not requiring the :10088 stuff on the url's), and also to be able to go over to https (port 443)? and in relationship to the https, the SSL certificate, if we want to buy a real one, what is it OPENSSL+apache MOD SLL+...

how to get ibm to write new db2 functions?

got rid of easycom and of course mostly had to change i5_ to db2_ and in some fetch instances array/assoc/row etc. changes. There were a few differences one also relates to the fact i5 didn't return trailing blanks necessarily and so a trim or two was necessary. I had a zend person tell me when I co...
