Re: ZendJobQueue Functions - createCliJob

Thanks for the report We provide 2 CLI job types, one is a classic PHP job which works like an HTTP job, only with a script path instead of a URL, and the other is a generic CLI job, which accepts only 2 params: command (with / without inline parameters) options (name, priority, timeout etc.) We wil...

Re: zend server 2018 on ubuntu 18.04

Hello tlamedia, bert0901, we have triple checked that fresh Ubuntu 18.04 gets installed without any problems with Apache and NginX. The problem seems to be "a dirty" machine with old packages / certificates, and the need to start clean. My advice, if you still have the problem, would be to remove Ze...

Re: Issue with Deployment of new VHOST and additional characters to Document Root

Hello There is a comment in the vhost template, added to newer version of Zend Server, due to override DocRoot restriction of the deployment mechanism when deploying applications to defined vhosts # DocumentRoot should always be set to ${docroot} The ZPK (Zend / Zipped Package) describes the documen...

Re: Zend Guard Loader+php56+FastCGI has ZendLoader_errors

Hello Windows Server 2016 was not released yet by the time of Guard Loader (version 7) release (may 2014), so it wasn't tested and we cannot support it. However, the memory mapping might be because of multiple user access (violation) to the same shared memory address pool. Can you eliminate any mult...

Re: Can't respond to open tickets

Hi Dan,
Have you tried to log into Rogue Wave support portal from a different browser and from a different network (perhaps a public WIFI)?
Can you write the case ID so I can look it up?

Re: Server 8.5.9 X-Powered-By still reporting PHP 5.6.30

Hello, Please open a support case with this report, so we can test and involve the packaging team to change the entity if truly a bug and not a caching proxy or something. If you need a quick resolution we can also help with a workaround to manually change the server signature text string for the sh...

Re: Microsoft fastCGI versus Zend fastCGI

Hi Microsoft FastCGI is newer and is recommended with IIS for production. Most Windows developers are installing Zend Server with Apache, so it needs a CGI layer which is the Zend Enabler wrapper. The CPU comes from php.exe processes, and would probably be the same when running under a different Fas...

Re: Why big organization avoid using php?

Not true. We do Enterprise PHP for more than a decade, and your application is secure as your developers, frameworks, runtime + configuration and server admins / dev-ops (we own the runtime and sometimes the framework, the rest we educate and consult about).

Re: Android App Developing

Being a newbie, I would recommend separating the frontend and backend, doing Android stuff in Android Studio, and PHP (including data side of your choice) on Zend Studio or any other PHP IDE - would be most suitable to develop against Zend Server PHP runtime, if you can include it in your budget (as...

Re: Debugging on MacOS, declare strict and non-ascii chars

Hi Lars, Can you verify that your PHPUnit is above 6.4.1? I found an issue which was fixed by Sebastian Bergmann here: https://github.com/sebastianbergmann/phpunit/issues/2791 If upgrading PHPUnit doesn't help, please proceed as recommended earlier by opening a support case so we can work on the iss...
