Re: Pros and Cons of Studio, Server, and Z-Ray for Web Dev.

Welcome to the forums. I'll give my opinion on a few of these: 1. Don't use Server, but Studio is rather useful for debugging, and is very well integrated if you use Server, or other Zend technologies. Most of the new features for the past few versions have all been focused on integrating with other...

Re: Learning Curve For Upgrade To 10.5

I don't think the learning curve will be quite as steep as you might think. Mostly you will be going through the Preferences menu and trying to see what's what. It's still an IDE, and code is code, so if you aren't using some of the bleeding edge stuff, you should be fine. If you use GitHub or BitBu...

Re: Zend debugger is not released for Php 5.3.x thread safe

I sincerely doubt that we will ever see any more updates for the standalone debugger files. The solution they are pushing is to use Zend Server and it's built-in libraries. Don't want to do that? Move to XDebug.

Well, a 10.5 license key just showed up in my account area, and that fixes it :-)

1) Using the EA is now asking me for my license again and it is not accepting my valid 10.0 license as copied from website or email.

2) You should probably lock this thread and make people create regular threads to report issues like mine!

Re: Support for PHP 5.5

I need ZendDebugger.so extension for php 5.5.x so if someone in Zend or in community can help, just post a link I seriously doubt that such a thing will be available for a long time, if ever. Use Xdebug if you need to do 5.5 debugging. As I mentioned in another ticket, they are pushing Zend Server ...

Re: Zend Studio 10 - OSX Mavericks Bug

For the rest of us peons who don't have access to 10.9 yet, I hope that you submitted this as a bug through the support channels and not just this forum. I haven't seen a Zend employee response to any subject in a LONG time. I think they are just leaving this as a user self-help option and a place t...

Re: Any reason no Zend Debugger #20110410 for MacOS 64bits ?

I don't think they have any real impetus to make 64-bit versions of the debugger for the latest php versions. They REALLY want you to use their Zend Server package which runs 32-bit binaries. It IS possible to get Xdebug up and running on 64-bit instances up to and including PHP 5.5. Zend does it's ...

Re: Support for PHP 5.5

My guess would be for ZS 11 in a year or so. It took about that long for 5.4 to be supported (March 2012 - 5.4.0 released; Feb. 2013 - ZS 10) and 5.5 was released at the end of June. I'm sure most users would prefer for them to be working on bugs than new features - even something like 5.5 support -...

Re: Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable serialization

Got around it by overloading the save handler using the bin2hex/pack suggestion in the link above. It would be nice if I didn't need to do this, but I haven't figured out why Db_Table_Adapter won't convert character data to bytea. THANK YOU! This saved my bacon. Without this, I was able to use PHP ...
