Docker containers should not ask you to complete the activation wizard. Please start a new container in your environment, let it run for about 2 minutes and then export it using the command "docker export --output="latest.tar" red_panda;gzip latest.tar" and share it with me so I can analyse it.

I've managed to resolve the permissions issue by 1. /usr/local/zend/bin/zendctl.sh stop 2. editing /usr/local/zend/etc/conf.d/ZendGlobalDirectives.ini zend.httpd_uid=<my apache pid> ; GID of httpd process zend.httpd_gid=<my apache gid> 3. deleting all files from /tmp and /usr/local/zend/tmp 4. /usr/...

I've stopped apache (leaving the other zend server processes running) and ran the commands. I would suggest you install it in a linux branded zone. This will allow you to enjoy the features of open solaris (such as zfs). Please note though that as specified in the previous post this is not a supported configuration.
