Ending Long DB2 Queries in PHP

Hey, Is there anyway to programmatically detect when a DB2 query is taking over x number of seconds and end it? This would be within a web page using PHP that kicks off the DB2 query. We're running into queries that are taking too long and causing timeouts. So we'd like to be able to stop the query ...

Run Windows Command from PHP Site

Hey, I'm trying to figure out how to setup an application to be able to kickoff (open) a desktop application, specifically Google Earth in this case, from my site (it's a company intranet site). I found some information about using file_put_contents() to create a .bat file with the command, 'start "...

Random Toolkit Error

Hey, At random we've begun to get the below Toolkit error. We've not conducted any updates to the server or OS, and from what I can tell the error is not even occuring as a result of an attempted program call, but prior to them running. Toolkit request failed. Possible reason: a CCSID not matching t...

Re: Maintain DB2 Connection On Subsequent Page Loads

Jordon, I think this will give you your answer (or at least hopefully point you in the correct direction). It discusses the different XMLSERVICE Connection options, I've never used anything but stateless. http://yips.idevcloud.com/wiki/index.php/XMLService/XMLSERVICEConnect What type of information...

Maintain DB2 Connection On Subsequent Page Loads

Hello, I'm not sure that this is possible, but I'm going to ask anyway. Haha Is there a way to maintain the same connection to the database as opened in the current application for use in subsequent application/page loads? I know with persistent connections I can leave the connection open and I may ...

Printing a PDF via Toolkit Command Line

Hello, I'm trying to find out how to print a PDF document that I create with a PHP class via the Toolkit with a Command Line Call (or otherwise I guess). I've tried the PRTSTMF call with little success, I believe it is because the printer is not setup to print a PDF directly. I've looked around and ...

Re: Toolkit Failure

Thanks Scott. That did not turn out to be the problem, but it was an ordering problem. Thanks though for the help, it got us going in the right direction to a much quicker resolution.

Toolkit Failure

I have two Program Calls that I'm doing with the Zend PHP Toolkit, both of which are very similar, yet one works and one that fails, but we've been unable to determine why. The parameter list seems to be right and the values sent in are the same designation as the program requires. If anyone can tak...

Re: Detecting Soon to Expire Password

After working on it a bit, we decided to build an RPG Program Call and call it from that call since calling the API directly from PHP using the Toolkit did not seem to work for the reasons I mentioned earlier. The RPG is using the QSYGETPH API and I'm just passing the wrapper program the user ID and...
