We're seriously considering it for many important reasons. You said you were considering "it" for many reasons. You were referring to keep everything in /usr/local/zend, or to my proposal? If you want to keep everything inside /usr/local/zend, maybe you could create symlinks to the binaries in /usr...

I also have the same problem. I changed it in /usr/local/zend/etc/php.ini to /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock.
