Re: Zend Studio isn't quiet a good gui for coding php

Your recipe sounds like NetBeans. In addition to minimal interference it also offers helpers for CSS &JavaScript. It's not perfect but as a PAID user of Zend Studio, NetBeans kills ZS >= 6. If you feel like you need to drop cash for a quality IDE then spend it on Komodo. As a paid licensee of ZS sin...

Re: Issues with Zend Studio 7

That was a funny joke. Ha. It made me laugh. Is anyone from Zend watching these forums? Of course they are! They watch them to blow smoke up our rear that the problem will be fixed "in the next release" or that "you're not running X or Y" or that somehow you are the problem and not their bloated bar...

ZS 7.2 freezes when trying to open ZF project

When open the program, after I close the "tip of the day" and then right-click the project, select Open Project all Zend Studio does is sit there frozen with the Spinning Rainbow Beach Ball of Death. This is not a very big project. Build Automatically is closed. I'm showing that 97M of 126M in the l...

Eclipse FAIL: Could not open the editor: Argument not valid

So there I am, working on a time-sensitive update to a Zend Framework application in Zend Studio 7.2 (the latest version) when I try to open a Model (Press.php - in application/models/) and when I click to open the file, Zend Studio for Eclipse throws the following error: Could not open the editor: ...

Zend Studio 7.2.0 Mac - Invalid Checksum

I have tried downloading Zend Studio 7.2.0 three times now using three different browsers. After each download completes (278 MB) and I try to mount the disk image I get the error Invalid Checksum. How can this be fixed?

Renewing Zend Studio Support: Pros & Cons

Our company's Zend Studio support is expiring this year and we are debating whether or not to renew. We purchased the software when it was version 5.5 and used it all the time. Since Zend went to Eclipse I have noticed that usability and productivity have plummeted but confusion and feature bloat ha...

Re: Newbie Zend Question?

This is an excellent tutorial to get you started with ZF. Just change "albums" to "blog".

Re: Cannot Change Fonts in ZSE V7.1 on Mac OS X

ZSE for Mac is horrible. I bitch because I paid for it.

Try Komodo. You will spend more time developing and less time trying to configure it. And you can change the font. AND it has word wrap. And you can see your typing in real time. Shocking.

Re: Tips or tricks for speeding up Zend 7.x on Mac?

My favorite solution to speeding up Zend Studio 7.x on my MacBook is to upgrade to version 5.5.
