Re: Is anyone able to use ZS7 on a Mac?

You should still be able to use your license for ZS 5.5. It's not much effort to get it to work on 10.6. And it blows the walls off any Eclipse crap out there.

Give Komodo a try. It's free for 30 days. Maybe they will offer some cross-upgrade?

Re: Is anyone able to use ZS7 on a Mac?

Apologies for my vague sarcasm. I have tried to use Zend Studio 6.x and 7.x, both which are pretty much unusable on OS X. Each time I think about going back to Zend Studio 7.x I will find myself spending more time tweaking settings or trying to get it to behave like an OS X application. In frustrati...

Re: Is anyone able to use ZS7 on a Mac?

I use Zend Studio 7 on my Mac all the time. Each time I launch it I am reminded why I bought and use BBEdit, Komodo or Zend Studio 5.5. Because I would rather be productive than fight with the vomitware that is Eclipse.

Re: Word Wrap: Free Aptana (Eclipse) has it; why not ZSE?

What editor did you go with? We went with Komodo. It has word wrap. And it's much quicker, easier to learn and -- shocker -- supports themes that don't require hosing your preferences.

ZS 5.5 rocks. ZS 6 & 7 = GAR-BA'JE.

Re: Eclipse: The failed project!

Sadly, without Zend Studio 5.5 there are no good alternatives. Netbeans is promising but still quirky, Komodo is good but expensive after spending money for Zend and everything else is based on Eclipse. I tried ZSfE 7.1. While it seems faster I still feel as if I am coding over a 300 baud connection...

Re: Eclipse: The failed project!

Today I typed if(array_key_exists and sat watching Zend Studio for Eclipse version 7.0.2 give me the spinning beachball of death. And no, naysayers, I'm not using an underpowered system. This is on a new (less than 1 month old) 2.8 GHz MacBook Pro with 4 GB of RAM. I've had enough. I have purchased ...

Re: Eclipse: The failed project!

Paul, Thank you for saying that. You accurately summarized my feelings for the Eclipse debacle. I have moved away from using ZSE to Komodo. It costs $300 and I didn't want to pay it but I got tired of trying to use Eclipse, the (bad) attitude of the Zend developers and the complete lack of caring fo...

Re: Cursor color

Nevermind. Found it! (Had to use BBEdit to show that the command had been broken.)

Re: Cursor color

How did you turn off anti-aliasing in Netbeans? That has been the one elusive piece for me and I would warmly welcome it.

Same here with ZS 5.5 and Snow Leopard. Apparently if you install Java 1.5 it will work but I'm not backpedaling.

Re: Cursor color

And here is the final "resolution" to the issue: ------------- Hello Keith, Thank you for the feedback (and the screen shot), however, this is the only solution that we have at the moment for this issue. I pass the information to our R&D team leader (just to let you know). Your feedbacks is very imp...
