DB2 SQL requires setting CCSID other than 65535 in order to convert data from EBCDIC to ASCII and visa versa. You have two options to do that: 1. Change QCSSID system value to 37. The IBM_DB2 extension is fixed in Zend Server 5.0.2. Use Zend Server 5.0.2 installation or Zend Server 5.0.2 PTF in order to get latest Zend Server modules (including IBM_DB2).

In Zend Core you need to edit PHP.ini file and Zend Server edit ibm_db2.ini. PHP in Zend Server scans ./etc directory for PHP directives which lets you add extensions directives either to PHP.INI file or to extensions configuration files like ibm_db2.ini

Zend Loader is available in Zend Server package bundled w/PHP 5.2. The Zend Server package bundled w/PHP 5.3 does not include Zend Loader.

Did you enable the ODBC extension directive in the PHP.INI? Here is the line that needs to be added to PHP.INI:
