Re: i5 CL Call Returns Blanks

There are built-in methods to read a data area. For your example: // set up $dataAreaObj = new DataArea($ToolkitServiceObj); $dataAreaObj->setDataAreaName('MYLIB', 'MYDTAARA'); // read it $value = $dataAreaObj->readDataArea(1, '*ALL'); // offset and length. Default to 1 and *ALL // output string val...

Re: Performance when using ajax

session_write_close() is correct, or you could change the session handler to a non-file-based mechanism.

Re: Performance when using ajax

There's nothing wrong with using stateless connections. I don't agree that stateful/private is the "recommended and fastest method," except in special situations where you want to return to the same job every time. In your situation, use stateless connections, being sure that they are also persisten...

Re: Moving from I5_tools to DB2 functions

To sort according to the job's attributes: set it globally via /usr/local/zendsvr6/etc/conf.d/ibm_db2.ini ibm_db2.i5_job_sort = 1; 1=sort by JOB attributes If you're using Zend Server 7.0 or higher, you have the new ibm_db2 version, and can set it at connect time (http://174.79.32.155/wiki/index.php...

Re: Moving from I5_tools to DB2 functions

The decimal separator option (part of the options array, fourth parameter of db2_connect) is documented at http://php.net/manual/en/function.db2-connect.php i5_decimal_sep DB2_I5_SEP_PERIOD - A period ( . ) is used as the decimal separator. This is the default. DB2_I5_SEP_COMMA - A comma ( , ) is us...

Re: Error while updating Zend Studio 10.5 to 10.6

I had the same problem in version 11. I resolved this issue using the instructions at http://files.zend.com/help/Zend-Studio/ ... studio.htm under the heading "Updating to an Early Access Zend Studio Installation."

Re: Moving from I5_tools to DB2 functions

I believe the poster is referring to DB2 SQL access via db2_connect, etc. Anyone in Europe care to reply to his questions?

Re: Possible issue running stateless?

Did you have an RPG inquiry message causing the job to wait? You mentioned that your XTOOLKIT jobs had a similar problem. The usual reason is if an RPG or COBOL program has an inquiry message or error.
