Re: Returning Multi Occurrence Data Structures

It seems like you have mixed up packed and zoned numeric fields. As far as I can see you have only defined zoned fields in RPG but use packed in PHP.

Re: Returning Multi Occurrence Data Structures

Entry Param field PROP is defined in RPG as char field length 30 where you try to access it as char field length 40 from PHP. That should be the cause for the data decimal error.

Git on IBM i

For anyone interested, I did an article on youngiprofessionals.com which shows how to install and configure git on IBM i and in ZendStudio. I use this version control for over a year now and wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

Feel free to ask if something is unclear.

Re: Zend Studion Remote Debugging

Have you checked your IP (the IP you're using for the VPN) and the IPs allowed to debug on your IBM i?

Re: charset utf-8 and euro symbol

Sorry, but I don't understand the problem properly. SQL gives you UTF-8 data as you need, right? Where comes the euro symbol from? Is only the euro symbol the problem or other non-ascii-characters (e.g. §, ä, ...) as well? Is it/Are they hardcoded in your php-files? If so, check the file encoding, i...

Re: Php function to call service program procedure

Since you only got started, I wouldn't recommend use i5_* functions, since the Easycom toolkit isn't shipped with zend server anymore. Please take a look at the XML toolkit.

Re: missing easycom in zend server 6.0.1

Easycom has been removed from ZendServer 5.6.0 in favor of XML Toolkit, which is an open source replacement.

Please see IBM XML Toolkit FAQ for further information.

So I assume, you are running the MySQL and not Zend DBi. Therefore you need to use

Re: Zend Core to Zend Server 6?

There were many changes made from ZendCore to ZendServer 5. So you had a replacement here as you put it.

You can also run ZendCore, ZendServer 5 and ZendServer 6 at the same time on the same machine.

Re: db2_connect on V7R1

Oh, this is by FAR not the latest release and therefore no wonder that you have problems with V7R1. Anything called ZendCore and ZendPlatform is EOL as can be seen on this forum as well. Please upgrade to at least ZendServer 5.1.0. If you are using the Easycom Toolkit you don't want to directly inst...
