Re: db2 calling stored procedures

Can you post your Stored Procedure definition here for the RPG program in your original example? This would be the CREATE PROCEDURE statement used to define your RPG program to DB2 as an external procedure.

Re: PHP Custom Extensions (How do they work for I?)

Generally for IBM i you can find the available extensions in Zend Server in the Admin on the Configurations -> PHP tab. You cannot run .dll files on the IBM i. You can generally run PHP scripted extensions on the IBM i. These are the types of extensions you can find in the PEAR repository. Compiled ...

Re: ZMAIL Extension in 6.01 (PHP 5.4) missing?

Zend R&D has confirmed this is an issue for PHP 5.4, and is working on a fix. Zend Server 6.0.1 for PHP 5.3 should not have the issue.

Re: ssl problem - fsockopen

Instead of using a command, you can set up the PRNGD daemon to automatically start up with the Zend Server subsystem. Here is how to do it: ====== 5.6.0 and later To automatically start the prngd server daemon (ZS_STR_PRN job) when the ZENDSVR subsystem is started, please make sure ZENDSVR is in you...

Re: Welcome page Server not found

The IBM HTTP Server supplied with V5R4 has some trouble distinguishing between a file name or a directory name in the address. One problem this can cause is the failure to properly redirect to a directory specified via the ALIAS directive in httpd.conf. You can work around this by adding a trailing ...

Re: apache works php scripts display as text

There does not seem to be anything wrong with your Apache configuration. I created an Apache instance and copied your configuration, changing only the Listen directive to point to an appropriate ip address and port. I am able to run a PHP script fine in that Apache instance. It would be helpful if y...

Re: Symfony 2 on iseries

Also, please consider Alan's reply above, to run your command line commands in an SSH terminal. This does work with the Help output for PEAR, which is also UTF-8. As Alan mentioned, Zend Studio includes an SSH terminal. To find it, right click on an "Ssh Shells" item under any SSH connection in the ...

Re: Symfony 2 on iseries

One way to force the PASE shell (QP2TERM) to do the character conversion is to pipe through the cat function. Please try this:

php-cli app/console | cat

Re: Removing Zend Core Removes Zend Server!

Further research shows that older versions of the Zend Core uninstaller will remove user profiles, causing some Zend Server objects to be lost. Please make sure you are uninstalling version 2.6.1 of Zend Core for IBM i5/OS. Please see this post to learn how to safely remove Zend Core: http://forums....
