Re: 5250 Bridge & MDT

This is a known issue. The 5250 Bridge API updates all input fields, causing the Web Facing Server to see them as changed. Zend R&D is working on improvements to better handle this in a future release. As a workaround, remove the CHANGE keywords from the display file, making note of which change ind...

Re: Zend Core for i5/OS - Update and Update Logs

The most common reason the Core Updater cannot connect is because the Zend User ID and password have not been set up. To set them up, go to the Updater menu from a 5250 command line: GO ZENDCORE/ZCUMENU Use option "1. Change Network ID user/password". The User ID and Password are the same ones you u...

This is controlled by the Options directive with the Indexes option in Apache: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#options Please edit your PASE Apache configuration to prevent access by index. From a 5250 command line: edtf '/usr/local/zend/apache2/conf/httpd.conf' Find this in the file:...

Re: MySQL daemon will not start

In the job log we will often see something like this: RNM OBJ('/tmp/mysql.sock') NEWOBJ('mysql.sock') Object not found. Object is /tmp/mysql.sock. This indicates that MySQL was not installed with the QSECOFR user profile. The MySQL installation has to be done by QSECOFR, no other user profile can do...

Re: zend subsystem auto startup

We have noticed lately that sometimes the ZC_STR_PRN job does not start up quickly enough to provide a needed service to the PASE Apache start up job. You may see a message in the PASE Apache error log /usr/local/Zend/apache2/logs/error_log that looks something like this: [Wed Jun 17 11:51:05 2009] ...

Re: I5_query INSERT error

The problem is with the i5_errno() function. This function wnats the connection resource for a parameter, or no parameter at all to default to the current connection. We know the value of $query is false because this is true: if(!$query) . False is a Boolean value, which is why you see the message a...

Re: <server>:89/ZendCore Access Lost

Please try adding a trailing slash to the address:

<server>:89/ZendCore/

Apache may have trouble telling that you are asking for a directory rather than a file.
