Re: zend_server status says apache is not running

Re: Fresh Install on CentOS gives the following error.

Hello, the reason it failed to restart was probably that it was still in TCP_WAIT, as you can see from the output you attached: Stopping httpd: [ OK ] Starting httpd: [ OK ] Stopping httpd: [ OK ] Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80 (98)Address al...

Re: rpm -e errors when deinstalling all RPMs

Hi Chris, The reason these packages were not entirely removed is as follows: zend-pe: it's preuninstall tried to restart Apache [the one from the httpd package which ZendServer's PHP runs on] and failed. The reason for restarting it, as I explained, is to reload the Apache daemon after removing the ...

Re: rpm -e errors when deinstalling all RPMs

Hi Chris, The Apache was restarted by the postuninstall script for zend-pe. This is because we want to reload the PHP module after removing the Zend Server PHP. As per the remove command, please use: # yum remove `rpm -qa|grep zend|xargs` yum will calculate deps and remove accordingly, rpm -e will p...
