Error - Toolkit request failed

Post by jogisarge » Wed Dec 19, 2012 9:02 pm

i installed Zend Server 5.6 on our new machine.
Now the function i5_connect ist no longer available.
So i updated the Toolkit API and followed the description in this Post.
I dont know our CCSID but in the httpd.conf i added

Code: Select all

DefaultFsCCSID 37
In my Logfile i get the following error
Toolkit request failed. Possible reason: a CCSID not matching that of system, or updated PTFs may be required. Database code (if any): 22501. Message: Länge einer Host-Variablen variabler Länge oder einer LOB-Host-Variablen ungültig.
What is the problem here ?

Bye jogi

German CCSID would be 273 (or 1141 with Euro symbol). 37 is English. Please check your QCCSID system value. If this doesn't help (it won't hurt either, trust me, I'm also running my boxes in German), please report back, Alan will most definitely drop by.

Hi, jogi,

Looks like your DB2 PTFs are out of date. That's the usual reason for DB2 error 22501.

See this forum entry:

Best action: install the latest CUME or DB2 PTF group.
