I have specified the idleTimeout parameter on the toolkit connection. After an hour of inactivity the jobs end just as expected. Each time they end they send a "job ended" message to QSYSOPR. Since we have hundreds of users throughout the day these jobs are ending quite often. We have people who monitor QSYSOPR for other system messages. They are seeing these messages all day long now and I was wondering if there was a way to either a) not have the messages generate at all or b) have an auto cleanup process to remove them so we don't have to constantly be cleaning them up manually.
I use stateless mode, where possible, rather than stateful jobs that automatically end. When idleTimeout is used for stateful jobs, however, I don't know of a way to stop the timeout messages from appearing. I see various solutions on the web for removing certain messages automatically.
