Hi Alan, thanks for the reply.

Yeah, we did do a fresh install as I wanted to force myself to adopt the new toolkit. I guess I'll just have to figure out how to do the same things with db2 instead. i5 was just a better solution in some cases. For instance, I have a "file ready listener" that tries to open a file that is being written to by the iSeries in RPG that works really well. Now, I'm trying to do the same with db2 and get mixed results so far (works 99% of the time). i5_new_record seemed to be a more efficient choice when adding lots of records to a physical file than sql. I'm sure there are ways to do this with the new toolkit, I'll just have to figure them out :-)

Hi,

For inserting multiple records, it's possible to insert multiples with SQL in one statement.

About your other need, the "file ready listener": feel free to post your "previous toolkit file ready listener" code here if it isn't top-secret, as well as the version that uses db2, and let us know the problem you are having with your db2 code. Someone might have a suggestion.
