Mac Installation Zend Server Password Error

Postby xavierjx on Thu Dec 06, 2012 7:52 pm

I just installed zend CE edition on a MacBook Pro with OSx 10.8.2 using
After a successfull install, I was able to execute the step to start zend server via the terminal.
Now I need to access the interface to set the password but all i get is a screen requesting a password which obviously I don't have since is the first time.
Documentation says: To change the password go to terminal and zend/install/folder and type this command : "gui password sh"
I go to terminal /user/local/zend/bin/ and enter this command: "su gui password sh"

NOTE THAT i have removed the underscore and the dot on the command since I not able to post the actual command. !!

I get this error no matter what I enter for a password: Sorry try again.
javxxxx:bin javxxxi$ sudo "gui passwd sh"
Password:
Sorry, try again.
Password:
Sorry, try again.
Password:
Sorry, try again.
sudo: 3 incorrect password attempts

This has been resolved as follow:
The instruccions say to change the password outside of the zend tool as follow:
go to: cd/usr/local/bin and type the following command to change the password:
sudo gui passwd sh

At this point what you need to do is enter the password for the MAC administrator not the new password to get into zend server.
This is what I did to resolve this problem:
1) cd /usr/local/zend/bin
2) then run this command: sudo gui passwd sh and press enter.
3) typed in my MAC's admin password
4) I was then asked to enter a new password for zend server, I entered a new password and verified it.
I am no able to open zend server.

Thanks.
