ZendGuardLoader on PHP5.3

Post by vipera » Fri Dec 23, 2011 12:42 pm

Hi all,
i've a CentOS with PHP 5.3.3, Zend Guard Loader v3.3 and Apache2.2.

the web app does not work.
the error log says:

Code: Select all

[Fri Dec 23 12:28:03 2011] [error] [client ***.***.***.***] PHP Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format major ID 3, whereas the Loader expects 4 in /var/www/vhosts/default/htdocs/sito/site_en/admin/config/ProjectConfig.php on line 0
any ideas to solve this problem?

regards
viper

Hi

Error "Incompatible file format" means that you might tried to execute PHP 5.2 encoded file on PHP 5.3 runtime.
Re-encode with PHP 5.3 project settings, or use zendenc53 if you encode using command line tools.

Can you tell us exactly what you did to re-encode? I'm having the same problem now since my ISP changed to PHP 5.3.17. One of our sites is getting the exact same error message.

Hi

To make things clear, Re-encoding can only be performed on the PHP open source files, not on already encoded files (which is like video transcoding - decoding and encoding on same run).

For encoding options, Zend Guard has a GUI based on XML parser engine, and command line encoders for automation and choice of use.
