Zend Guard Run-time support missing

Postby yossik on Mon Aug 06, 2012 9:52 am

Hi !
I'm trying now the zend guard trail version on a centos (6.2) machine , a very basic / minimal php web files (hello_world.php etc')
I have encoded the project files to let's say yossik folder under the /var/www/html
i downloaded as well the zend guard loader , extract the ZendGuardLoader.so file to < some location folder> and add the following lines to the php.ini file

zend_extension=/<some location folder>/ZendGuardLoader.so
zend_loader.enable=1

saved it and restart the httpd service
when I"M trying to browse the http://<my server adress>/yossik/hello_world.php i get the "Zend Guard Run-time support missing" message following by the
"One more more files on this web site were encoded by ZendGuard and the required run-time support is not installed orproperly configured....." message

what I'm missing / doing wrong ?

any help/tip/insight will be highly welcome / appreciated .
Thx for advance
Yos.

The most common errors that people have with this is that the web server is loading a different php.ini file than the one they edited or permissions issues (the web server identity can't load the file). you might write a little script hat outputs php info for the web server to double check what file is loaded, etc.

Thx first !
U R probbaly right (regarding the permissions issues )
I get the following error message in the /var/log/httpd/error_log file
Failed loading /yk/ZendGuardLoader-php-5.3-linux-glibc23-i386/php-5.3.x/ZendGuardLoader.so: /yk/ZendGuardLoader-php-5.3-linux-glibc23-i386/php-5.3.x/ZendGuardLoader.so: cannot open shared object file: Permission denied

I have chown -R apache:apache ZendGuardLoader-php-5.3-linux-glibc23-i386 (from the /yk location and check with ls -l) - Nada :-(
Any ideas ? (maybe it's something to do with the ESLinux permissions ?)

Hi there

I am having similar issues with Zend Guard Run-time on a Synology drive. It's running Linux and PHP 5.3

I've edited php.ini in the same way as described earlier, and I've run phpinfo() which indicates that it's loading the correct php.ini file.

On the phpinfo() output, there is no mention of Zend Guard at all - should there be?

I am installing this so I can use Scriptcase 6.0.

Any help would be awesome - I've been at this for 3 days now and I've learned a lot but I still can't get scriptcase to run on my Synology server.

How can I tell if the zend guard is running?

Thanks!
