Does Zend Guard 6.0 support php 5.5 ?

I would recommend installing ZS 8.0.2 and following the short instructions in the Guard Loader README.
I tested it briefly on ZS 7 with similar method, but it was tested on 8.0.2 nonetheless.

No! my ZendGuard Perpetual License does not work anymore with ZendGuard 7.0 .

php7 is coming on mid october 2015, what about ZendGuard support & license Policy?

You've bitten us to posting an update, but ETA was achieved and this is not April's Fools joke :)
Perpetual license should work - I sampled this while in beta.
Please work on a support ticket to get this resolved.

I have no ETA on Guard for PHP 7, and the PHP real world applications would not migrate to PHP 7 instantly as released, especially on monetizing applications.
I will check for your ticket and see what this is all about - you were probably delayed because of workload and P1 issues, plus many releases we done lately, not just Guard.

It is now confirmed that perpetual license does not mean perpetual for Zend!

When we released new version 6 and 7, you were already out of support so you didn't automatically get a new license for the new version
However, I will converse with the product manager regarding future aspects of perpetual licensing and having a better exposure of the conditions with support and versioning.

As my perpetual ZendGuard product is no more working on "new" php versions (i.e. 5.5)
I spent a few days writing for myself a small php obfuscating tool.

For those who do not use ZendGuard because they don't need all the powerfull functionnalities of ZendGuard
such as an IDE environnement, licensing functionnalities, ... and many other top of the art features...

... but would be ok with a small command line obfuscating tool,
you can take a look at the yakpro-po GitHub repository...

Again. Perpetual means - never expires.
When new version is released, the website checks your account for active support, which you didn't renew since 2011 if I recall correctly (but still open support ticket and we reply ;)
If you renew your support then you get a new license, it costs less than a complete registration and intended to roll perpetual licenses for more years of support, against the initial fee.
Hope this is clear.
