Remote connection, FTP issues

im trying to connect my magento site to zend studios and I am having some issues with the FTP connection. I have no issue connecting to the database but when it comes to downloading the data I keep getting this error

CWD public_html/advertisements
550 Can't change directory to public_html/advertisements: No such file or directory

I am not sure if this is an ftp issue. I did check and they have all the required privileges.

Is this an issue with zend or my ftp?
