Zend studio freezes when setting up a remote project

Hi,

Whenever I'm setting up a new project from remote server the IDE freezes at the point where files are being downloaded.
I'm on windows,
the remote server is Linux,
ZS v.9

any suggestions?

Join the club. It freezes when creating a new project with local files also. Remote has never worked either.

Creating projects using existing source code hasn't worked since Studio 5.5. You open individual files and edit them or create blank projects. You just can't start with existing source code or add existing folders and files to a new project beyond copying and pasting the actual text of the files one by one.

I was wrong, creating blank projects doesn't seem to work. The next day when I tried to open the same project it gives me the error message:

The project description file (.project) for 'Acme' is missing. This file contains important information about the project. The project will not function properly until this file is restored.

Now after starting with another new blank project the problem is closing the project.

When I do Project -> Close Project instead of closing the project it opens a window titled "Close Project" and is doing a very long process called Building Workspace.

It has been here for a long time, just stuck on closing project. I do not need it to do anything at all except close the files that are open. Is there a way to close a project?

Wished i read this yesterday... would have saved me a couple of wasted hours.

I will have to check out Juno, I haven't heard of that.

They have definitely not made any progress at all getting Zend Studio 9.x working on Windows. No patches, no fixes, no update, no word from Zend if any are even coming.
