Zend Studio 8 and HTML5

Postby iftrueelsefalse on Thu Mar 24, 2011 8:16 am

How can I disable the warnings for tags that are HTML5 (article, section, nav etc)
I don't want to disable the warning, but I want to use html5 for my project

The issue is not resolved in that link either.
My views are all in .phtml files, which are fragments of the site and don't have a doctype decleration.
Sorry for not being clear about this in my previous post.

So is there a way to set the validator to html5 for a partial file / view ?

Is there a way to validate html5 in a html fragment?

For example in a view, the pagination or other fragments

If the answer is just: "It's not possible" that would be acceptable

Should I just keep bumping until I get banned? Lol

My question remains
How does one make the validation ignore my 1 bazillion(not exaggerating) html 5 related errors (unknow tag header, nav, section...) in partial phtml files or layouts that start with
Code: Select all
<?php echo $this->doctype(); ?><html>

Thanks for your kind support

But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. Oh Lord, please don't let my html5 be misunderstood.

I have the same problem and questions as you. I stumbled upon your postings in my search for an answer. It seems as if our pleas for help are ignored.

It's not possible at this time but we're looking at options for a future update. The basic issue is that without some indication it is impossible to know if it should use new HTML 5 or older HTML syntax. One option we're exploring is a ability to set a global preference for all html validation. But it's not a quick fix to change something like that.
