ZS10 Database Development Bug

Post by diemuzi » Thu Feb 14, 2013 7:53 pm

Build ID: 20130211

I connected my pgSQL database and logged in just fine. I than wanted to view a table so I progressed from Catalogs->DbName->Schemas->public->Tables and double-clicked on any table in the list... This error is returned

Cannot edit table. An unknown or unsupported data type encountered for column.

This error happens on almost all of my tables listed. Running pgSQL 9.2.2

I recommend using the DBeaver feature instead of Database Development. Although DBeaver is a younger project, it has a much better maturity level than DTP.
You can install DBeaver from the Welcome screen (Database Features | DBeaver). For more information go to On-line Help

I tried your suggestion but when you open DBeaver Perspective it gets stuck on "Opening RemoteSystemsTempFiles" and it never goes away, even clicking on cancel. I had to physically shut down the whole ZS Application and restart. In the background I could see the panels associated to this but they all has a big red X which says "Could not create the view: An unexpected exception was thrown"

Any other solutions?

Hi

I would suggest a few "remedies" to try (btw there is a newer update if I'm not mistaken, try to check for updates when you read this).

1. remove dbeaver and PGSQL components from welcome page, restart Studio and add dbeaver again
2. switch to new workspace and see how dbeaver works, when a project is open and when all are closed

Let me know what you find please.
