Zend Studio 11 does not deploy empty derectories

Post by gfroehlich » Tue Jul 22, 2014 9:51 am

After the upgrade to ZS 11, deployment does not take empty directories e.g. for logging. As a workaround I've created a dummy file in such directories.

Is there a way to change this behavior?

Thank you for reporting the issue. I need a little more info about your environment to start investigation.
Did you migrated from 10.6.2 to 11.0.0?
What is a version of your Zend Server?
Is this the same server instance that you had been using before an update?

Kind regards,

I've used 10.6 and made all updates when the notification came. The last was some days ago. This made the upgrade to version 11 (Build ID: 11.0.0.v20140715-20140711-1248-184).

After the next deployment the application (ZF 1.12) run into an error at bootstrap, because it was not possible to create the log file, due to missing directory.

I'm using a local server for development and one on IBM i for production. I made the deployment to my local server for test.

Server Info local Server:
PHP Version 5.4.23
Zend Server Version: 6.3.0
Zend Framework: 1.12.6, 2.3.1
Zend Server Gateway: 0.9.1
Build: 80943

Thank you for additional information. Could you try to test a different scenario in order to help us to detect the location of the issue?

Steps:
1. Choose Export->Zend->Deployment Package for your project and create zpk package for it.
2. Open local Zend Server web interface.
3. Open Applications->Apps->Deploy Application.
4. In the wizard choose package created in step 1.

Let me know if in such scenario empty folders are deployed.

The result is the same: empty folders are not deployed.

I've opened zpk file with 7Zip to check the structure: empty folders are not part of it.
