Deploy to SSL

Post by mich761 » Fri Sep 26, 2014 7:41 pm

Howdy,
It seems that we are having issues with deploying to anything with SSL. When we deploy a new application within zend studio and the https protocol. All settings indicate that it should be going to https://<server url>/<path>

however it keeps getting switched over to http.

Thoughts?

Hi,

Could you tell me if https is also specified in PHP Server configuration (as a part of Base URL)?

Kind regards,

Hi,

sorry to hijack this thread but I am also experiencing issues deploying to my SSL site.

Zend Studio 10.6.2.v20140121-20140520-0158-208
Zend Server 7.0.0
I have the following target configured on Zend Studio

Host: http://192.168.123.123
Base URL: https://192.168.123.123
Key Name: admin

When I deploy my application I enter the following details
Application URL: https://192.168.123.123/ApplicationName
Application Name: ApplicationName

When I deploy I get prompted that the application name is already in user and if I want to update the application. I select yes and I get the following error message:

Cannot find application with the same base URL. Please verify if application name is unique.

I have also tried entering a new Application Name and Application URL. This would appear to deploy successfully but it appears on Zend Server with http instead of https.

Is there a guide to deployment on https or does anyone have any tips about how to copy deployments from http to https??

Any help would be appreciated.

Enda

I have managed to deploy to SSL manually. It is not an ideal scenario but it will have to do for now until I hear or a workaround for Zend Studio in this forum.

Thanks for reporting the issue. I am investigating the problem that even if there is https set during deployment it still deploys to http.

enda152, could you tell me where did you create your project? For a proper behaviour of deployment it is recommended to create a project in the workspace location. The issue which you observed usually appears when application is initially created in htdocs folder directly on the server.

I am going to rekindle this. We developed a work around by deploying the package on our dev zend studio box first then deploying via zend studio.
I noticed a small bug. We upgraded to 8.0.2 which had its own bugs, and we retried to deploy from studio into server using https. We had a completly different result. It appears that when deploying it goes to the correct vhost (according to the gui) but not the right folder on the server.

Take a look at the attached image.
Notice on the second entry. This is the application that didnt exist in the system before and was deployed to the server from studio. although it is in the https vhost, https folder, it is in the port 80 folder. This means that it will not work since it is in the 80 folder for both the document folder and the vhost it creates.
Let me know if you need more information.

Hello,

Let me rekindle the issue now. Is the problem still valid?

If so please let me know what version of Zend Studio and Server you use now and answer please the questions below.
Are you able to reproduce the problem at any time or it is random?
What parameters do you provide in deployment wizard?
What is your virtual host configuration?
