Zend Studio 13 + Debug Toolbar + Firefox 44

Postby neuner on Fri Mar 04, 2016 10:48 am

Hey there,

is there anywhere a signed Version of the Zend Studio Toolbar Plugin for Firefox? As Firefox 44 won't load the old one because of the missing Signature ...
Toolbar was always a big help with debugging ....

Thx

I also miss the old Firefox toolbar. Haven't been able to even find a download link to it in quite a long time.

The Z Ray pseudo-toolbar is nice, aids in debugging, but the Firefox toolbar was a lot more convenient for my workflow. I hope Zend will consider resurrecting it at some point - maybe even add a version for Chrome as well.

You always have the option to go to the internal settings in firefox with this text in the address bar: "about:config". There you can allow the firefox debug toolbar again.

Thanks cars, I appreciate the suggestion; however, I had hoped for an alternative solution that doesn't require disabling signature validation for all Firefox extensions. Browser security is perhaps more important today than at any time in the past.

Hello,

today with the new Firefox 48 Version, there is no option to activate unsigned Addons.
Is the there maybe an option to provide a signed Version of the Toolbar from Zend?

Hello,

We are working right now on a new version of the toolbar that will be available soon on AMO (Mozilla Add-ons) and Zend.com. As for now you can use the XPI file available in the zipped attachment to install the new version of toolbar manually (you need to uninstall the older version first). Please let us know in case of any problems.

With best regards

Downloaded this and it seems to be working fine. Great to see the simple FF debugger back!

Has been working for me until Firefox 57.0. I downloaded the toolbar 2.8 version and tried to manually install but received the Firefox message "Zend Studio Toolbar could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 57.0."

Any thoughts on when this will be corrected? I use the debug next all the time.

I've tried debugging directly from Zend Studio and the debugger does start and hits the index.php file of zend framework 1.x but it won't hit the breakpoints in my controllers. Almost like it's not able to debug past the index.php file which is not very helpful. Any work around suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Is there some newer debugger plugin for Firefox? I have Firefox 57 which is far too new for the old plugin. Do I need to downgrade my Firefox ??
I can't live without my Firefox plugin :P

I downgraded to Firefox 56.0b9 , turned off automatic updates and it works now ;-)
Still it would be nice from Zend to publish these plugins up to date, I really can't imagine good programming without this way of debugging.
