update db failing to bind on 2nd run

I just inherited a zend application. (Old Zend version, no one was able to tell what version; it has also been tampered with, so it's probably not a standard version)

On the original server - the code runs fine.

I installed a new server on AWS (ubuntu 14 / Apache2), and on the new server the following code runs twice:

Code: Select all

$this->update('myTable', array('status' => $status), array('id = ?' => $id));
The 1st time updating the DB, the 2nd time - returning a HTTP 500 error.
On the 2nd run it fails to bind the "SET" parameters:

Code: Select all

UPDATE `myTable` SET `status` = ? WHERE (id = '5')
The only difference I can see between the 2 servers is that the original server has the response header Connection:"Keep-Alive", while the new server has a response header of Connection:"close". (not sure this is relevant...)
Also worthwhile mentioning that the new server has KeepAlive On in the apache2.conf file .

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks

There was an external script interfering (new relic).
