Debugging API

Postby mike6552 on Wed Feb 22, 2017 4:22 pm

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to debug an API. The debugger is working. I can debug a specific file, such as index.php or debug.php. But that doesn't do me any good debugging an API.

Specify A Path
When I use a path, such as http://localhost/users (users being a collection passed to a controller) it tries to download a file.

Include Auth Headers
No way to include authorization headers that I can find. This isn't a total deal breaker. I can always remove the auth requirement on the local machine and then add them back in on the remote one. Not an optimal solution, but at this point...

Other HTTP Methods
I can't figure out how to send methods other than GET. No PATCH, PUT, OPTIONS, etc

I am starting to feel really stupid, lol. Thanks.

Window->Show View->Other->Test Service

should work for you if you're using http auth headers.

I have a variation of your problem, that I cannot get around using it... I need so set some custom headers. If anyone can point me to that I'd be pretty happy.
