Help with key-bindings, Ctl+Shift+Up/Down not working...

Post by rsalazarm » Tue Mar 24, 2009 4:35 am

... for 'Moving selected lines up/down' (respectively).

I've set the keys for such instructions as Ctrl+Shift+Up (and Down) following the keyboard layout of many other editors, but it doesn't work, nothing happens when I press those keys. I've tried without selection, selecting lines partially and completely, restarting the IDE, and nothing seemed to work.

Any suggestions anyone?

P.P.S. So far, v5.5 has proven to be a lot better in usability (and it isn't the best IDE on that aspect).
—as you may have guessed, I've never used Eclipse before (I don't even know Java).

Please change the shortcut scope to make this work - set the value of When to Editing in Structured Text Editors:

Note, there is a conflict with the default configuration. I checked this, and it works fine even so, but you may need to resolve the conflict in your case.

Thank you, that worked (changing the scope).

I started by disabling pretty much all of the default key bindings, but I overlooked the conflict.
