Has Zend abandoned all of us? This issue is a HUGE impact on productivity, and I haven't seen as much as a comment from the Zend folks.

I'd feel better if there was a least some communication about this. But no response after 3 months is completely unacceptable.

Here's what I want to know from Zend:

• That they are aware of this bug.
• That they are working on a resolution.
• A viable workaround until it is fixed.
• An estimated timeframe until a patch is available.

I'm willing to test the patch myself if I have to--reconnecting and losing my directory tree 50-100 times a day is killing me.

The problem seems to be fixed in the next version of Zend Studio. This release is currently in final QA stages and should be made generally available fairly soon.

now i´m waiting for the "next version"

but you are right, the communication from zend to their customers are incredible poor.

For the record, I've confirmed that this bug has been resolved in Studio 7.2.0 (tested on Windows 7 64-bit). I was able to save a remote file after one hour of idle without receiving the error message.

It`s a really annoying bug (since Zend Studio 7.0 (!)), which is primarily caused by FTP timeout problems. It occurs on 7.2.1 too.
There is no solution since nearly 1,5 years now - my developers are still stuck with Zend Studio 5.5 - even after paying some kEUR`s for the new version.

My company is now switching to NetBeans - sad.

I haven't seen the i/o error message in a while since I have updated my Zend Studio to 7.2.0 v20100421 (OS: Vista SP2 X86). I have tested with several FTP servers.
Sometimes the message shows up when renaming a file or folder, but after a quick refresh the message is gone and the file/folder is renamed :S

Anyway, no more disconnect and connect :)

alway have this probleme with ZendFramework 7.2.1. with SFTP.

There were several connectivity and performance issues fixed in 7.2 with remote systems. But if you work a lot with remote systems then I recommend you give the 8.0 Beta 2 release a try. It should be released later today or sometime tomorrow and we've revamped the entire remote systems support to make it more intuitive, faster and more robust.

Warning: It is not backward compatible with 7.x from a remote systems perspective so please use a new workspace and re-import your projects,

Had this problem on 7.0 and 7.2, still have it on 8.0 beta 2..
