[Bug] Projects that were closed do not upload On Save.

Postby ausdev6000 on Wed Mar 14, 2012 9:24 am

Studio version: 9.0.2.201202240955
OS/Arch: Windows 7 6.1/x86

Description of problem
Projects that were closed when Zend Studio was opened do not upload On Save through Remote Server support.
There is no error or warning visible to the user that unexpected behaviour is occurring.

Expected behaviour
Files (associated with projects that have Remote Server support enabled) should upload On Save regardless of whether the project was closed or open when Zend Studio was started.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Assign a project a Remote Server and set 'Upload Mode' to 'On Save'.
  2. Close the project in PHP Explorer.
  3. Close Zend Studio.
  4. Open Zend Studio.
  5. Open the project in PHP Explorer.
  6. Open a file from that project.
  7. Edit and save the file.
  8. Note that the file has not been uploaded on save.

Problem since:
This has been present in all versions of ZS9.

Hi,
An issue related to this problem was opened in our bug-tracking system.

There is a workaround for this wrong behavior:
Go to project Properties > Remote Server support > Press OK
Go back to the opened file in editor, edit the code, then save the changes.
The changes will be successfully propagated to the remote server.

Thank you for reporting,
