debug and profile a ZF app

Post by robertos12 » Wed Mar 31, 2010 8:45 am

How do I debug a certain action from a controller in a Zend Framework app?
I have set the breakpoints, i have checked "Local copy if available. Otherwise the server" as i've read somewhere on the forum. Only the index.php (bootstrap file) is seen by the debugger....it doesn't enter in the controller.....

Also how can I profile a certain action? What if the actions is called via ajax?

Thanks!

Use the debugtoolbar and make sure the php server settings are correct.
You will probably will have to add the paths to your include paths because the debugger isn't so smart to know which file to use.

I have installed zend server locally and created a demo ZF app.

The debugger is configured, however when i press debug and it reaches the last line in index.php i get this:

Debug Error: /ZFdemo/application/Bootstrap.php line 3 - Class 'Zend_Application_Bootstrap_Bootstrap' not found
Debug Strict (PHP 5): /ZFdemo/application/Bootstrap.php line 3 - main() [<a href='function.main'>function.main</a>]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. Please use the date.timezone setting, the TZ environment variable or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Europe/Helsinki' for '3.0/DST' instead

What paths should I set?
