Cut and paste BROKEN in 9.x

I am going out of my mind.

When I cut lines of code in the editor and then paste them into another location in the editor THE INDENTATION IS REMOVED. Everything is pasted in a straight vertical left column.

Before someone says "recreate your environment", I logged a case with Zend support and was told the following:

We had this issue in a previous version of Zend Studio and we solved it in Zend Studio 9.0.3.
Please make sure that you are using a new environment with 9.0.3.

I followed these instructions to the letter (which actually took a lot of time) - and THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. I have recently applied the latest Zend Studio updates and the problem still has not gone away.

if anyone has any ideas for resolution I would massively appreciate them as this problem is making development a nightmare.

I have resolved the problem! so I'm posting what I did here in case it helps anyone else

Window => Preferences => PHP => Editor => Typing

In the "When pasting" frame, a tick box called "Adjust indentation" is ticked by default (well it is in my installation anyway)

I unticked it and hey presto, the problem went away.

Really I have to say that in my opinion unticked would be a much better default for "Adjust indentation"; as for example in my case it:
1. caused much annoyance and confusion
2. was misdiagnosed completely by the Zend support team
3. I don't believe the same setting existed prior to 9 as I've been using Studio for some time now and as far as I can see this is new behaviour
