htaccess query

Postby vita7709 on Mon Feb 27, 2017 6:55 pm

Hello there guys,

I'd like to ask a question related to htaccess file which is there for any website. What is it & how to use it? I have been given a task by my officer to add 301 redirect using htaccess upon installation of SSL certification.

Kindly guide me properly, thank you.

SSL certifications are now more important than before. People who run E-Commerce websites should think about it now. According to the recent algorithm of Google, they now check SSL certification for the visitor security purposes.

This is an Apache question, not PHP.

htaccess is used for all sorts of fun stuff.
Try googling "htaccess redirect to https" and start reading.

If you happen to have root access to the server then it would make more sense to edit Apache's configuration.
See: https://wiki.apache.org/httpd/RedirectSSL

SSL certificate is more like a verification to show what type of business you have. Its an online certification which shows that you are a certified business and in a way to let people trust you.

If a user enters "Abc" folder must exist and have at least one file called index.xxx also exist. If not, only you Clickessay .com get "page not found" (a 404 error)
In short, no, is not "directly" possible...

Authentication is more like a validation to show your business type. Its online certification shows that you are a certified business and in a way that makes people trust you . The best feature of this site is that you go to the paper, plus get specific national standards or common core activities.
