MYSQL INSTALL PROBLEM

Post by metasoftware » Tue Mar 09, 2010 12:26 pm

After installing ZCORE for i5 we tried to install MYSQL selecting option 6 on menu 'GO ZENDCORE/ZCMENU'
We got this message:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
MySQL installation (optional)

Press ENTER to start MySQL installation or press F3 to skip
MySQL installation

F3=Exit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
After pressing Enter we got this message:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
MySQL installation (optional)

MySQL is already installed.

F3=Exit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

If we select option 6 on ZCMENU we got this messages again!
We have noticed that in usr/local/ there aren't files or directory.

The joblogs says:

L'oggetto non è stato trovato. L'oggetto è /usr/local/MySql/bin/mysqld.
Indirizzario corrente modificato.
Oggetto ridenominato.
Oggetto ridenominato.

Any help will be apprecied.

It looks to me as though MySQL was either previously installed and then removed from the file system, or only partially installed due to a failure. In either case, you should be able to move forward by doing a DLTLIB ZMYSQL (you may wish to back up the library prior to deleting it.) It is probably the existence of this library that is causing the Zend tools to erroneously think that MySQL is installed.

Once you remove the ZMYSQL library, you can take option 6 again and you should be given the opportunity to install MySQL.
