CALL QP2TERM

Code: Select all

cd /usr/local/Zend/Core/logs
tail >| php_error_log
tail for itself returns the last few lines or bytes from a file depending on parameters. If you don't provide any parameters at all it won't generate an output. So you write this (empty) output into your log-file and voila.

Why is it getting so large? Do you have log management turned on? Turning it on and setting up the log rotation (all part of the package) should provide a better solution than using tail to clear the log, doing that could cause problems when you need to look at an entry which occurred a few hours before you ran the request. Ours change daily and delete after 7 days...

It is configured in the server configs (http.conf). I am not sure how you have your system configured so its hard to say what is the best way to do this?

The log rotation is configured by default for the Reverse Proxy on Port 89 (/www/zendcore/conf/httpd.conf).

The log-file thomasv was talking about is the php-log which is configured through the ErrorLog directive in /usr/local/zend/apache2/conf/httpd.conf
