Which JSON Parser for PHP and ExtJS

Post by chczendphp » Fri Jun 11, 2010 9:26 pm

Which php JSON parser should I be using to interface with frameworks such as ExtJS? I'm finding different php files that require different configuration. I was curious if there was a standard/commonly accepted JSON parser.

The point of JSON is that there doesn't need to be "a standard/commonly accepted JSON parser". Any library can implement an encoder and decoder as long as it follows the specification.

Here's the Zend Framework's (it comes with Zend Core).

Thanks for your reply. I installed Zend Core for i5 and I did not get the json parser. Or did I and I just don't know how to reference it?

I would think it's on your include path already. Just a matter of including the class...

Code: Select all

require_once 'Zend/Json.php';
