Smartest Setup for Development

Postby kingharrison on Thu Jan 30, 2014 5:01 pm

What is the best way to setup for development on an existing DB2 database on an iSeries?

I have a few machines that I will be developing on so I haven't found a good way to keep the workspaces synched except to download from the server each time I need to work on a machine. Which, for some reason, takes a ridiculous amount of time to download. Any hints on how to speed it up are appreciated as well.

I have done an article on YiPs showing the inclusion of Git in the PHP development on IBM i. That's the way we are doing our development (multiple developers, one even remote). Hope it helps.
