Build 5 star rating system with ZF2

Post by hoan7361 » Sun Sep 22, 2013 10:27 am

I've looked at this zend_forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=5742 (zend_forum is forum of zend, I'm not authorized to insert link, sorry for the inconvenience)

His problem seems to be what I'm looking for. I'm created a website to exchange or sell some stuffs. Now I want to build a rating system that a logged in user can rate other user (purpose is to justify whether an user is reliable or not)

From the answer of suggsjc I think that now I have to create a Vote module and implement the voteFunction(). But I'm also new to Zend Framework so I don't get everything he said.
Can anyone give me the clearly solution for my problem? I mean a road that I can follow step by step.

Thank you very much!

Hello hoan7361,
One way to learn would be to take a look at the source code for one of the ZF2 rating systems found on Packagist.

Go to https://packagist.org/ and in the search box enter "voting" and also try "rating".

So, you could either just leverage off an existing module, or learn from them to write your own.

I am looking at a few of these for possible use myself. :-)

Regards,
Clark
