Safely remove Zend Core for IBM i5/OS

To safely remove Zend Core from your system after Zend Server for IBM i has been installed, please verify that you are at version 2.6.1 of Zend Core for IBM i5/OS. If you are at an earlier version, please upgrade to 2.6.1 before uninstalling Zend Core for IBM i5/OS. Uninstalling an earlier release of Zend Core for IBM i5/OS will cause ZENDADMIN and other user profiles to be deleted, along with any objects owned by these user profiles. This includes the objects in the Zend Server for IBM i library ZENDSVR.

To determine the version of Zend Core for IBM i5/OS installed on your system, check the "Display Installed Licensed Programs" display. From the command line:

GO LICPGM

Use option "10. Display installed licensed programs".

Scroll down (usually to the last page, or next to last page) to find product 1ZCORE5. The description will tell the version installed. The description should be "Zend Core for IBM i5/OS (2.6.1)".

If you do not have version 2.6.1 installed, please download and install it. The installer is available here:

After installing version 2.6.1, it is safe to remove Zend Core. If you also have Zend Platform for IBM i5/OS, you should remove it before removing Zend Core.

The link to version 2.6 does not work. where can I get that version so I can remove it correctly. I am still running 2.5.2 on our iseries server . thanks

Will Zend Core 2.6.0 suffice or does it have to be 2.6.1 before you can uninstall it safely?

Ok, I've done it.
I didn't see this post and I've uninstalled Zend Core 2.0.6 without upgrading it before.
Now Zend Server seems functional, but ZENDSVR/ZSVMENU is no more, and I can't upgrade it nor uninstall it.
What should I do now?

I was able to delete Zend Platform, update Zend Core 2.6.0 to 2.6.1 and then safely delete Zend Core.

It was kind of weird having to update to delete. Here's the steps I took:
