Magento Installation

Post by davidbferguson » Mon Mar 25, 2013 11:32 pm

I have installed the latest version of Magento's community edition on our development server. I am able to install the software but on the last page entitled "You're All Set!" when I click on the "Go to Backend" button I get the following error: The webpage at https://<ip address of server>/magento/index.php/admin/ has resulted in too many redirects. The access log has the following entry duplicated several times: "GET /magento/index.php/admin/ HTTP/1.1" 302 - "https://<ip address of server>/magento/index.php/install/wizard/end/". I also get the same errors if I try to go directly to the admin page.

There is very little help for iSeries installations on Magento's website, so I am hoping to get some help from someone who has successfully installed and is running the community edition on Zend Server for IBM i.

Several months ago, I installed Magento and directed the connection to the MySQL socket (vs. URL installation). Also, I did not specify the https selection as you apparently have done.

http://forums.zend.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=13833 contains the Magento-check issue resolution.
