Admin password

Postby chris_hird on Tue May 23, 2017 5:19 pm

I have installed the trial version of ZendServer 9 and when I go to the admin interface it is asking for a password. I have used the szmenu option to set the web admin password but it still refuses to let me in?? Documentation does not show any other options to determine the default password or any additional requirements?

Today, i installed also the new Zend server on our IBM i.
Got the same problem but tried to set the admin by going to the 5250 menu and take option 80 --> 1. Change passw...
Restarted the whole zend environment ( SBS and apache). Tried to login admin with the password set without any luck.
Does anyone have a solutions for this?

Installation is working now.
After installing the license on the IBM i you should go direct to http://<your_server_ip>:10081
You will then be presented the wizard to setup the zend server and entering the passwords for admin & &developer.
It seems that if you go to the 5250 menu and try to set already the password, the internal db (sqlite) is not updated.

So my solution, remove the license from the system re-install and go direct to the http site without passing the green screen menu.

Hope this can help.

This is based on the advise from the support team, with many thanks.

To do this, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds. NOTE: Resetting your router to its default factory settings will also reset your router's password. The router's default password is “admin” as for the username, just leave the field blank.
