Zend Server Upgrades

Post by dave_mackay » Thu Feb 09, 2012 4:01 pm

Hi there

Is there an upgrade matrix to show which versions of Zend Server can be upgraded from & to. For example, can 5.0.1 be upgraded to 5.6.0?

Additionally, which versions of Zend Server are compatible with the i OS?

Many thanks

I don't know any matrix but out of my mind it's that way:

ZendServer 5.x exists for IBM i.

PTF upgrade paths
5.0.1 --> 5.0.2 --> 5.0.4
5.0.x --> 5.1.0
5.x --> 5.6.0

Of course you can always do a fresh installation, regardless of the version you were running before.

Good matrix by Erich/Martin.

Note that if you do a fresh install of 5.6.0 you will lose the old toolkit extension. (The new toolkit and CW are good but you want to be prepared for a few adjustments.)

The upgrade path preserves the old toolkit extension.

The Zend Server 5.6.0 PTF is a cumulative PTF that allows to upgrade from any Zend Server version to Zend Server 5.6.0.
