Hi all

Just interested on sites development tools when using Zend with IBM i.

We use a mixure of Zend Studio, Netbeans, RDp and even Visual Studio, mainly because of licensing issues.

Is it the same out there for the rest of you guys?

We're using Netbeans but I'd recommend using what works best for you and your development staff. Zend Studio is great if you like Eclipse and what Eclipse offers you. I tried Zend Studio when Zend Core for IBM i was out and I didn't like it. I've also tried out VS.Php (Visual Studios plugin for PHP development) because I originally was a C# developer but later found out that doing PHP development in Microsoft Tools pretty crummy back in ~2009. Some friends have tried out Aptana Studio but I never really got hooked on that. Here's a wiki to give you a comparison of what tools are out there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison ... nments#PHP

We're using ZendStudio. It has come a long way since the days of ZendCore. The only drawback is the performance, no wonder since it is eclipse based. Besides that we also use Notepad++.
