Trying to uninstall Zend Server

Post by thebigkick » Sat Feb 04, 2012 11:21 pm

I accidentally installed Zend Server when I meant to install Zend CE. I've deleted the application but Zend CE still says that it cannot install because I am not aloud to downgrade. I've deleted ALL of the files associated with ZServer but still can't install CE. Is there something I'm missing?

A pragmatic solution would be to just reinstall the full version and skip the licensing step. Then you will have all the CE functionallity with the option of upgrading (perhaps a trial license) later should you need to do so. There is no nagware or limitations connected to an unlicensed full version.

Hope this helps,

How much extra storage will this strategy require than if we uninstalled the Server and then installed the Community Edition?

I would prefer to keep this as light weight as possible.
