Also check /usr/local/zend/etc/conf.d/ZendGlobalDirectives.ini for license information

You should see a trial Order Id similar to the following

; The serial number
zend.serial_number=07C47010801G517336781D14E94CCDFA

; The user name
zend.user_name=TRIAL-89340-77

Hey deegitalmedia,

We will need you to enter your license manually using the following procedure:

Stop the Zend Server (in linux, bin/zendctl.sh stop)

Edit you etc/conf.d/ZendGlobalDirectives.ini:
Enter your license key in the directive you emptied (zend.serial_number)
Enter your order number in the directive you emptued (zend.user_name)

Empty out the ZSD_DIRECTIVES table in var/db/zsd.db:
DELETE FROM ZSD_DIRECTIVES;

Start Zend Server (in linux bin/zendctl.sh start)

Note that if the downtime is unacceptable, you may stop only the Zend Server Daemon at the first step. This daemon has no direct effect on the production systems and must be stopped for this procedure.
At the last step you will still have to restart the entire Zend Server in order for the new license to be reloaded throughout the system and premium features to be enabled.

Thank you for helping us improve Zend Server by reporting these issues,
Please let us know if this procedure resolves the problem.

Note that the license you enter into ZendGlobalDirectives.ini must be a valid Zend Server 6 license, not a Zend Server 5 license.

Allright, i got it: When i run zendctl.sh restart/stop, the php-fcgi processes for the GUI weren't killed and run the old php version of the CE edition. That doesn't return the correct edition in the zem_serial_number_info() function. I've killed all php processes and then restarted the ZendServer - tadaa!

Thanks for keeping us posted.
Could you give us some more details about your system so we can try to recreate this issue in a controlled environment?
What version of Zend Server 5 were you using, how did you initiate the upgrade process ...
We'd like to nail this problem so that other users need not go through this process.

In particular, we have a utility called "support_tool.sh" in your zend/bin directory. If you can, execute this script and send it to us with a link to this forum topic.
Using this package we can gain insight into the process your system went through to arrive at that state.

Many thanks, we appreciate your assistance.

I cleared that SQLite DB but then the zendserver admin page wouldn't load at all. The logs showed SQL errors while attempting to access information from that db.

So I uninstalled ZS6 and re-installed it into a new folder. That solved it.

I had previously installed ZS6 beta. Then uninstalled that. Then installed ZS6 production into the same folder. Perhaps that started the problems. This machine never had another version of ZS installed. Windows 7.

Thanks, this may well have been the cause.
Zend does not support upgrading from beta to GA and the two versions have had enough changes as to make databases incompatible.
